CVO Kisp

(2017 - now)

I am currently employed as a developer at CVO KISP. In my role, I contribute to the website(s) and streamline administrative processes for staff. This work is primarily done using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.

Some of my achievements include:

  • Maintaining and updating Bootstrap (from version 2 onwards)
  • Creating a dynamic organizational chart
  • Implementing npm and Gulp for development and production optimization, and introducing SCSS instead of CSS
  • Setting up code style checkers: PSR, PHP_CodeSniffer, ESLint, and Stylelint
  • Updating and maintaining legacy code to the latest versions
  • Integrating Symfony components such as templating, migrations, and translations
  • Redesigning the course search page to function like an e-commerce filtering system
  • Setting up a build system for reviewing and testing new features
  • Maintaining and developing requested features

Side projects and experiments

(Lifelong learning)

  • Experimented with Unity (C#) and Godot
  • Built and consumed APIs using PHP with the Symfony framework
  • Explored and tested new versions and components of the Symfony framework
  • Optimized database architecture, including solutions for handling translations efficiently

In addition to my development work, I studied to become a teacher. During my internship, I taught lessons on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, including building a Laravel-based to-do application

Diligentia Uitgeverij

(2016)

Diligentia Uitgeverij is a Belgian educational publisher offering both traditional print and digital teaching materials primarily for primary and secondary schools. I updated the custom ecommerce website to Magento 2 in 2016.

E-ducate.me

(2012 - 2017)

E‑ducate.me enables teachers to build lessons, assign exercises, manage materials, and provide students with digital access to both content and practice tools. I created the website, parts of the administration and parts of the digital textbooks.

About Me

Studies

I studied the Graphics and Digital Media program at Arteveldehogeschool, which prepares students for creative and technical careers in the media and design industries. My personal focus was on the programming side, leaning more toward front-end and back-end development as well as interactive media. This allowed me to create functional and engaging digital experiences.

Interests

I regularly work on personal projects, often focused on web-based interactive digital experiences, where I combine my interests in design and development. Also, I have high interest in pixel art game development with Unity (C#) and Godot Engine (GDScript).
